Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Amelia is a fourth-year undergraduate at the University of Virginia double majoring in Global Public Health and Spanish. She is especially excited about the Voss lab’s research on autoimmune diseases because of her long-standing interest in medicine, and she plans to pursue medical school after graduating from UVA. Amelia spent the spring of 2025 living in Spain with a host family, and she looks forward to using her Spanish to better connect with and care for Spanish-speaking patients in the future.
